SUP Up 2017

SAP UP Contest was founded by SAP CIS in 2015. Key objective of the Contest is building a business community environment for expertise and sponsorship in the field of social startups. The Contest is held by SAP to promote social entrepreneurship best practices in Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus and Armenia (starting 2018) . By inviting representatives of the business sector, government authorities, education and non-profit associations to participate in the Contest, SAP contributes to establishment of the community that promotes and develops social entrepreneurship as a separate national economy sector in the country.

How to participate?

  1. Fill in the Application Form to join SAP UP Contest. In the following days you will receive an e-mail with further instructions along with your username and password to log into SAP Innovation Management (SAP IM) — an online system for project evaluation. Submit your project idea and attach required documents and/or links to web resources in SAP IM.
  1. You can monitor your idea evaluation status after submission.
  2. The jury will choose TOP 10 projects in each country. Leaders of these projects will be invited for SAP UP Grand Finale in Almaty, Dilijan, Minsk and Moscow to pitch their ideas.
  3. The winners will be chosen at SAP UP Grand Finale.

Winners of the Contest will receive certificates for an educational trip to Europe and Grand Prix winner will receive: 1 700 000 KZT in Kazakhstan, 2 000 000 AMD in Armenia, 10 000 BYN In Belarus and 450 000 RUB in Russian Federation.

Evaluation system

Total score of the project is calculated as the sum of the scores for 5 main criteria. Each criteria is evaluated on a scale from 0 to 10. Maximum total score is 50. The experts evaluate the projects by the following criteria:

Social significance
effect of the project on the quality of life including evaluation of the project's mission, idea, and history, target audience and vision based on project implementation outcome
uniqueness and effectiveness of the proposed problem solution, and project scalability
Project resources
project team resources from the creator to the competencies of team members and partners and collaboration with other enterprises
Business capabilities
project financial stability, balance of funding and expenses, business model vision
Sustainable growth
strategy, risks, and perspectives, most prominent achievements on the day of application submission

SAP Innovation Management

SAP Innovation Management platform is a solution designed by SAP Custom Development as a management tool for innovative proposals. SAP-IM will be used for selection and analysis of participant applications during Contest and help judging panel experts identify the best projects.
