SAP UP Contest was founded by SAP CIS in 2015. Key objective of the Contest is building a business community environment for expertise and sponsorship in the field of social startups. The Contest is held by SAP to promote social entrepreneurship best practices in Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus (starting 2017). By inviting representatives of the business sector, government authorities, education and non-profit associations to participate in the Contest, SAP contributes to establishment of the community that promotes and develops social entrepreneurship as a separate national economy sector in the country.
Any social enterprise operating in the following areas can participate in the Contest:
The rules of this year contest will be announced in June 2017
In August 2015, SAP — the leading global software developer — will launch a large-scale social initiatives Contest called “UP”.
The aim of this Contest is to form an active community of likeminded people who are able to build up “smart” social entrepreneurship both in our country and worldwide.
For me, the main achievement of the kindergarten in the first year is that the teachers have carried out a lot of remedial activities, normalized the psychological state of the kids, and learnt to deal with several kids at once. I'm happy with the fact that the kids are making huge progress, that they have learnt to communicate with each other, and do it willingly (which is a huge step forward for autistic kids!). My victory in the Challenge means for me that what I do is important not only for me and "my" kids, but for many other people in the outside world as well. That is, from the level of the special needs children and their parents we have reached up to the level of society, and notably Russia-wide.
Regional organizations have few opportunities for promoting their projects. I have no doubt that our victory in the UP challenge will help us. Now that our project has been highly appraised by the organizers, partners and expert judges, we have more confidence in our capabilities.
We turn useless clothing into a valuable resource for social transformation to give hope to those who find themselves in difficult circumstances. All revenue from sales is allocated to internal social projects on provision of employment for socially disadvantaged groups and to the center of equal opportunities UP
Our main goal is to teach people not to be embarrassed of their impairments and to open new possibilities and horizons for them that are available with modern technologies. Every person is unique. The prostheses they wear must also be unique and match their personality and functioning.
The operating farm provides rural population with young geese and fodder (oats, potatoes). Implementation of our project will provide beneficial employment to a considerable number of unemployed people with little investments and secured income.
